The Plain of Jars in Xieng Khouang province in Central Laos remains a mystery to today. No one has been able to determine whether the jars, dated from the Iron Age, were for storage, burial chambers or something else. The day on the plains started out wet, windy and cold, but eventually, a little blue sky broke through and gave exploring the plains a kind of eerie feel.
