While driving from Maine to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (with a few stops in between) we came across this scene in Amish Country just outside of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. It was fascinating to get a glimpse of this anachronism in 21st Century America. Even though we just spent a few hours in this area, it made me reflect upon how important it is to not spend every day caught up in the chaos that is typical of life today, but remember to slow down and enjoy some simplicity every now and then.
